Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
Whether cognitive-behavioural therapies (CBT) are for adults or children, the scientific community not only recognizes their superior effectiveness in the management of many mental health disorders, but also recommends their implementation to address many difficulties. Studies show that CBTs are highly effective:
– In the management of anxiety disorders (OCD, social phobia, specific phobia, agoraphobia and panic disorder, PTSD), whether or not associated with drug treatment,
– In the management of mood disorders, combined with antidepressants for the most severe forms and more effective, alone, in the most attenuated forms.
– In the management of schizophrenia and PDDs, particularly in the areas of remediation, social skills acquisition and emotional management.
This technique allows Iris to propose the most appropriate tools with regard to the different objectives defined with her patient within the framework of the therapeutic relationship in order to improve his quality of life.
